1970 Moved from Las Vegas to Hollywood, Calif.
Sold electronic parts and equipment to the entertainment industry of Hollywood. The night of his first visit to a recording studio (Sunset Sound) he passed Janis Joplin on the way out.....he read about her death the next day.

1972 Mastering Engineer at DCT Recorders on Sunset blvd.
Cut records on projects that involved: Billy Joel, Elton John, Barry White, Little Richard, Seals and Crofts,
Iggy Pop, The Checkmates, Lee Van Cleef the ”BAD” from “The Good, the Bad and the Ugly", etc.....
Also did production sound on two movies, a couple of recording projects, wrote and published songs.

Billboard Charts, Disco #5, R&B #13, Pop #58. Dave also Engineered and Co-Produced Michael Gulezian’s album Unspoken Intentions on Tacoma Records.

1990 Freelance Engineer and Co-owner/ Producer, Outland Productions/Studios
Started a production company with partner McNeil Johnston, Co-Producing Radio Spots, Jingles and
Music for Film and Video.

1996 Sound Engineer and Studio Owner at Birdland Jazz Club
Designed, set up, and operated the club sound system. Built a control room designed for digital recording of the groups playing live on stage. See "Artists"- Live Sound & Live Recording. The studio was also a remote set up traveling to other venues and recording live music. Clubs like The Vanguard, The Blue Note, The Jazz Standard, Iridium, Sweet Basil, Macor, 3 International Association of Jazz Educators conventions.

November 2005 went to Tokyo, Japan with the Cab Calloway Orchestra to do live sound and recording at the opening of the new "Cotton Club Japan".
June 2006 Mixed and Mastered the Roy Haynes album "Whereas"(Grammy Nominated for
Best Jazz Solo)
Jan. 2007 Recorded and mixed "The Latin Giants" (formerly "Tito Puente Orchestra") at the IAJE Conference Hilton Hotel.
David has been operating audio in an A/V capacity for corporate and political conferences in all the major hotels, museums, and other venues. He calls it “Corporate Audio….and I love it”.
